ASTC Diversity and Leadership Development Fellows ProgramFellows Group Picture
The Diversity and Leadership Development Fellows Program was launched in 2001 by the ASTC Board of Directors to support the professional development and retention of professionals of color currently working in the field. The program has two tiers: the first for new Fellows, and a second for alumni Fellows. To date, nearly 100 museum and science center professionals have participated in the program.

Selected new and alumni Fellows receive free early-bird registration to the ASTC Annual Conference and limited funds to offset the cost of meals, lodging and travel to the conference.

About the Fellows Experience

"First and foremost, the ASTC Fellowship enabled me to make connections with great people who have knowledge, experiences, successes, and even failures to share. I know have a lifetime of experiences that I can call upon whenever I need advice, guidance, or a helping hand."

"I am more determined to remain in the museum field in hopes of introducing other people of color to the advantages of working in a museum setting, especially that or representing our communities."
