Science
centers inspire curiosity and support lifelong learning
about science.
Visit a science center or museum—for
free!
Join the savviest of science-loving families and adults and get
free admission at science centers and museums around the world.
The ASTC Passport Program allows members to sample some of the world’s
most exciting science centers and museums when they’re on
vacation or visiting family and friends—and to save money
while doing it. Families and adults who are members of their local
science centers or museums receive free general admission to all
the other participating ASTC Passport Program science centers or
museums around the world—currently more than 250 institutions
in more than a dozen countries.
To enjoy ASTC Passport Program benefits, you have to be a member
of a participating science center or museum. In addition to Passport
privileges, memberships offer many benefits in your hometown, such
as:
invitations to members' nights, exhibit openings, and special
events
unlimited admission to the science center or museum all year
discounts on science camps, education programs, activities,
and field trips
discounts at the museum store
free subscriptions to the museum newsletter and much more.
There are a couple of caveats—the program doesn’t apply
to centers within a 90-mile radius of home. In addition, the free
general admission often does not include tickets to things such
as giant-screen theaters, planetarium shows or simulators. Also,
to get free admission at an out-of-town science center or museum,
you’ll need to bring your membership card from your own science
center or museum.
Call your local science center or museum and become a member today,
so you can have fun learning and save money—no matter where
you travel!
